Yesterday I went to check out the crocodile that has taken up residence in the Gooseponds in North Mackay. When I arrived the beautiful 2.5 metre crocodile was sunning itself on the bank before it took to the water. The crocodile is quite an attraction with lots of people turning up trying to get a glimpse. The rangers have set up a trap to catch the crocodile for relocating away from the human population. Whilst at the Gooseponds I was disappointed to find racist graffiti on the path and on signs, so have written to the council requesting its removal.
