Day 18: Market Drayton to Chester

I survived the night on my bench beside the canal – thankfully it didn’t rain! Setting off I soon reached a set of  locks at Adderly which I needed to portage around. This was followed by another set of fifteen which I did in one go! These were much easier than the locks between Stourport on Severn and Autherley Junction as they are all going down hill. Continuing on, I stopped briefly in Nantwhich where I journeyed into town to procure some supplies and breakfast. I then continued on towards the town of  Chester where I booked myself into a canal side hotel so that I could have a proper nights sleep, a shave and a wash.
