Originally famed for its association with the Great Western Railway, Nowadays Swindon is more famous for being the most average town in England and its crazy magic roundabout. The new town is a heartless place which has suffered from extremely poor town planning. The town has some serious socio-economic problems which seem to get ignored. There is a higher than average unemployment rate and considerable antisocial behaviour.
Despite this, the villages and counrtyside surrounding Swindon are extremely beautiful and the town does have excellent transport links.
