The view of the super blood wolf moon this morning from my garden. There won’t be a full lunar eclipse visible from the UK until 2029.

A few photographs of the local green in HDR. Each image was made up of three pictures at -1EV, 0, +1EV.
This week we headed down to Dorset on the South Western Railway for a long weekend visiting family. The weather was awful (heavy rain and gales) but we still had a lovely time.
Today we went in search of the Paxton tunnel that served the now defunct Crystal Palace (High Level) Railway Station. We found the tunnel after a walk through Dulwich Upper Wood.
Today we returned to Addington Hills lookout for a day of tree camping, reading and picnicking. It was particularly enjoyable reading “The Gruffalo” from our treetop house. We then headed down the hill to visit the play area in Lloyd Park.
This weekend we drove down to West Dorset to visit family.
Today Elias and I went to the Natural History Museum in south Kensington. The model whale and dinosaur skeletons were also a big hit.
This week’s video is of some ten pass piggy-in-the-middle penny spin boomerangs. I added them to the edit at double speed as they can be a little boring to watch at normal speed! If I could work out how to cut out the precession then this would be an amazing trick. Part of the problem is that the car-park is not completely flat, and the wheel is not centrally balanced. I have also included some better footage of normal piggy-in-the-middle penny spin boomerangs from Crystal Palace Park.
