Today we headed along the tramline to take a trip to the Addington Hills viewing platform which offers spectacular views out over London. The woodland surrounding the lookout is good fun as well.

Today we headed out to Crystal Palace Park to meet some friends and participate in a spot of pedal boating on the lake.
Today we headed over to the Rookery on Streatham Common for a picnic with family and a paddle in the outdoor pool. We had the pool to ourselves.
Today we went tree-camping and put up our highest tree-tent so far. To go higher we will need to make a rope ladder to climb up into the tent.
Today we headed down to Brockwell Park to take a ride on the miniature railway; it also happened to be Lambeth County Fair.
Today we visited “Chessington World of Adventures” with nursery. We enjoyed seeing the animals (including Lions, Tigers, Gorillas, Giraffes and Rhinos) and going on some of the rides.
Today we headed down to Lyme Regis for a Mackerel Fishing trip. The trip from the Cobb out onto the placid sea lasted an hour and was very enjoyable, even if only one fish was landed!
I was lucky enough to watch the RAF 100 centenary flypast from the bank of the River Thames whilst walking between sites today. It was amazing to see so many different types of aircraft and some impressive formation flying.
This evening (approx 18:30) we saw this unusual rainbow – a short rainbow directly above us. The rainbow occurred within a busy airline flight path. It wasn’t raining at the time.
This week we headed out to Menorca where we stayed at the Victoria Playa Hotel in the sleepy resort of Sant Tomàs.
Highlights included a trek to the Cova des Coloms – a large cavern about 24 meters high and 100 meters deep which was reached by a lovely (although poorly signposted) trail inland from Playa Binigaus.
